1925: American Licorice Company begins West Coast operations in San Francisco, CA.

1925: American Licorice creates a licorice shoe for Charlie Chaplin to chew on in the movie The Gold Rush.

1930s: Snaps® - the original classic chewy candy - is introduced.

1952: Classic Raspberry Vines is renamed Red Vines®.

1958: Red Vines Original Red Twists® makes its debut in its now iconic tray.

1963: American Licorice Company invents the longest licorice pieces - Red Ropes® and Licorice Ropes®.

1975: Super Ropes® brand is born.

1983: Red Vines® debuts in its now iconic knob-top jar.

1990: American Licorice expands into the sour candy market with Sour Punch® confections brand.

1990s: Sugar Free Vines® is introduced.

1997: Sour Punch® Bites introduced.

1998: Sour Punch® Ropes introduced.

1999: Sour Punch® Beanz and Twists introduced.

1999: American Licorice launches natural licorice brand Riza®.

2001: Sour Punch® co-promotes with Shrek - the Oscar-winning animated smash film from Dreamworks.

2002: Red Vines brand expands to include Fruit Vines® - in delicious flavors like Purple Grape, Green Watermelon and Blue Raspberry.

2002: Sour Punch brand expands to include Chili Punch™ - in exotic Mango and zesty Tamarind.

2002: Twisty Punch™ is introduced.

2003: Sour Punch® introduces Omegas™.

2003: American Licorice launches Neon Punch™ brand.

2003: Red Vines® brand bursts with a new look.
